You’ve probably heard this at least once in your life: “your student years are the best.” And whoever told you that was right. Between deadlines and sleepless nights, of course. But what if I told you that being part of a student organization levels up that whole experience? Suddenly you’re not just attending the coolest events for students in Bucharest, you’re actually helping create them!💡
That was my reality when I joined PRIME România, a communication-focused NGO. It wasn’t just about posting on social media or contacting sponsors (although yes, we did that too). It was about brainstorming campaigns that actually reached students, organizing events people still talk about, and learning how the industry really works, without the corporate pressure, but with all the hands-on experience. 🧚
Years later, my two worlds collide: Digitalee and PRIME are on the same boat today. 🌟
Everything is free and worth your time here. You will learn from ambitious, driven young people how to level up your skills and build a CV that truly stands out in the industry. Trust me, it worked out just fine for me. ✨
Let’s dive now into their events for students. Buckle up for this one!
Wait… March is almost here! What about this year’s launching event?
You guessed that right. PR Forward takes place this year on the 26th of March. These guys don’t gatekeep, so follow them to find out more about it!
Through internal events, the HR department brings people together and strengthens relationships within the organization. Their work is centered on cultivating a community powered by communication, trust, and teamwork. Sounds like a dream, right? 🤩
If HR is the heart, Marketing is definitely the brain of the NGO. They deal with barter collaborations, coordinate sponsorships, and make sure every partnership is strategically aligned. They’re the big thinkers behind each successful collaboration, as I like to call them. If that wasn’t impressive and cool enough, the MKT team also produces PRIME O’Clock, a podcast where industry pros share real talk and insights tailored for students. 📹
Last but not least, the Art Design department defines the NGO’s visual identity. Their creativity and technical skills set the standard for quality. Whether self-taught or professionally trained, their work reflects precision, originality, and a strong sense of style. 🎨
Because this NGO is the real deal, their external events are no joke. Besides PR Forward, the humans of PRIME also organize PR&Ad Fair and Visually Speaking. 🎀
It’s no secret that finding your first job in Communication can be challenging. For this reason, PR&Ad Fair connects students, agencies, and entry-level positions under one roof. Becoming part of the team means contributing to the organization of one of the most important career events in the field. Currently at its 17th edition, the project continues to grow year after year. Save the date for this one: 14th of May, 2026. Who knows, you may find your dream job then. 🤞
I hold this project very close to my heart because I was the one coordinating the 2024 edition, “Match with Your Awaiting Career!”. Maybe I’m biased, but it was the most fun and rewarding chapter of my journey in the NGO. It was the moment I discovered my inner project manager and connected with so many inspiring, genuinely cool people. It still makes me emotional just thinking about it. BRB, can’t see through the tears, have some pictures instead… 🫶
What happens when you combine Art, Communication, inspiring speakers, and interactive discussions? You get Visually Speaking, a workshop-style event that challenges creativity and celebrates visual storytelling. If you’re passionate about the creative side of things, this event may be the right place for you. The next edition takes place on the 22nd of April. Stay tuned! 🥳
Here I learned what copywriting is. What a brief is. What a good concept means. How hard it is to organize an event from scratch. And many more. And everything that I’ve learned here has paid off. At my first interview ever, I told Irina about my activity in PRIME. Long story short, she hired me one month later. 😇
In the end, brands, companies, and industry professionals have every reason to support student NGOs that genuinely create impact. Whether through sponsorships, partnerships, or simply by opening a door, their involvement can shape real opportunities for students who are already proving they’re capable of building meaningful projects. Everyone talks about “the new generation”, sometimes with skepticism, sometimes with doubt. But like it or not, they are the future, and they are smart and capable. If the future of Advertising looks anything like PRIME, then it looks very, very promising.
What are you waiting for? Check them out now and see for yourself what PRIME can offer you! Have trust in your digital best friend. 🫰

When worlds collide: Digitalee x PRIME
Our collaboration with PRIME feels less like a partnership and more like a full-circle moment. Every member of the Digitalee team was, at some point, part of a student NGO, so reconnecting with this environment happened naturally. We understand the late-night brainstorms, the excitement behind every launch, the pressure before an event, and the passion that fuels it all. Supporting initiatives like this isn’t just professional for us, it’s actually personal. 🫶 We also want to challenge the narrative that Gen Z isn’t hardworking or that different generations simply can’t collaborate effectively. From our experience, that couldn’t be further from the truth. At Digitalee, the fusion between Gen Z and Millennials creates a strong, cohesive team where ideas flow, perspectives complement each other, and things actually get done. When generations choose collaboration over comparison, the results speak for themselves. 🚀 As I was telling you, life in an NGO is chaotic in the best way, creative, sometimes intense, but always worth it. If student life is already iconic, trust me, this is the plot twist that makes it unforgettable. Let me tell you more about it!What it means to be in (your) PRIME
PRIME is the first student association of Public Relations and Communication in Romania. Through its four departments and two major external events, students passionate about the communication field have the opportunity to build a direct connection with industry specialists, apply what they learn in university, and deepen their academic knowledge through practical activities. 🔎 Beyond the professional benefits, PRIME also teaches you how to create meaningful connections, how to make your voice heard, and, just as importantly, how to collect experiences worth sharing with your friends for years to come. 🫶

What kind of events for students are these fellas putting together?
PRIME truly has it all. From writing and launching a magazine made 100% by students, to organizing a well known job fair in the industry, you can choose to experience whatever area you feel like is the right fit for you. 🎉 The organization is split in four departments: PR, Marketing, HR and Art Design. Even though the names sound self explanatory, PRIME is all about adding its own twist. This is their specialty. PR takes the lead on PR Forward, the communication project introduced above. With 17 editions published to date, it stands as one of the organization’s cornerstone projects, together with the yearly launch event held each March. 🎯

A real agency in disguise
Even if it sometimes feels like you’re in a game like The Sims or The Impostor, the experience in PRIME closely mirrors real agency life. ✨ How? Even though members work within different departments, collaboration is at the core of everything they do. Projects are developed through constant communication between teams, just as tasks and campaigns are coordinated in a real agency. This cross-functional way of working ensures that every idea benefits from multiple perspectives before becoming a final product. 🎈 In addition, members take part in training, workshops, and learning sessions designed to develop both their professional and personal skills. The experience also includes pitch simulations, where participants present their ideas and receive feedback, closely mirroring the process of pitching to a real client. This hands-on approach prepares students for the realities of the communication industry in a practical and structured way. 🪩
Why I’d do it all over again
At the end of the day, it’s the people who truly make it worth it. The energy, the teamwork, the late-night brainstorming sessions, and the shared excitement after every successful project turn the experience into something much bigger than just an organization. The friendships you build, the support you receive, and the sense of belonging make every effort meaningful. Because while projects may come and go, the connections you create here last long after the deadlines are over. 👯♂️
